Activists suing McDonald's over Happy Meal toys

You have to be kidding me another ridiculous lawsuit by the by the left wingnuts....I can not believe that I am actually posting this it is so unbelievable...

The Center for Science in the Public Interest, an advocacy group, claims it violates California law for the hamburger chain to make its meals too appealing to kids, thus launching them on a lifelong course to overeating and other health horrors.
But that is not all named in this lawsuit is this "sorry excuse for a parent"....introducing Monet Parham and her lovely daughter Maya -- here is her alleged allegations at McDonalds....

"Because of McDonald's marketing, [her daughter] Maya has frequently pestered Parham into purchasing Happy Meals, thereby spending money on a product she would not otherwise have purchased."

Many of you maybe asking yourself -- and the reason for the lawsuit is....
She's suing because when she said no, her kids became disagreeable and "pouted" - for which she wants class action status.
Needless to say I don't think very highy of this mother.  Last time one of my children were disagreeable and pouted -- imagine this I said NO.  It is called being a parent teaching your children that especially when you act like that you are not to be rewared.  If you feel that a meal is not healthy enough than here is idea -- cook them a home cooked meal -- the last place I go if I want to eat healthier is a fast food joint.  Be the parent -- enough said.

Lastly, what kind of message does this send to her children -- that you are not responsible for your own actions -- the actions of the child, but especially those of this mother -- because you are so overwelmed with being a parent (yes, disagreeable and pounting are par for the course) -- then defentaly sue -- becuase it is McDonalds fault not your own.

What Kind of Conservative Am I?

Quiz: What Kind of Conservative Are You?

My Conservative Identity:

You are a Flag-Waving Everyman, also known as a patriot. You believe in championing liberty over tyranny, apple pie over sushi, and that God gave us a two-day weekend so we could enjoy football and NASCAR.

Michelle Obama's School Lunch - Video - Mocking

I guess it is no longer the parents choice as to what their children eat.  It takes me back to Hillary Clinton's "it takes a village to raise a child".  Well, no thanks I've seen what a "village" produces, I would like to raise my own children.

Check out this video, it is funny and yet so sad....compliments from American Thinker

Arizona Medical Marijuana Proposed Rules Released

I am split on the my legal views on this - I believe that anything that can be done to lesson the agony for patients should be looked at as an alternative, however I don't want to see this outcome like the one in California (marijuana superstores, etc)  I believe to alleviate the symptoms of their pain it is better and safer to go to prescribing doctors or dispensary than someone on the streets.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in Arizona, I'll keep you posted.

Extreme - Maybe Not

German man castrates teenage daughter's 57-year-old boyfriend

An enraged father who disapproved of his daughter's older boyfriend went to his home and castrated him with a bread knife.

When I first read this I was thinking "that's a little extreme", however, as a parent of teen girls I am thinking he may be my hero.  We are not talking about a little age difference we are talking about 40 years, we are not talking about two consenting adults we are talking about a teenager.  This father went to authories they did nothing.  The only thing I would have done differently (ok maybe a few things) is using a "bread knife" -- crazy

Scary Monday -- In My Neighborhood

I received a call from my children's school that they were on lock-down, researching further I found out why:

Mesa police are searching for a man who held a husband and wife hostage in their home early Monday morning.
The man fled from his vehicle into a neighborhood near Extension and Guadalupe roads after an officer who pulled him over for a routine traffic stop discovered the vehicle was reported stolen, spokesman Det. Mike Melendez said.
The driver then entered a house through the doggy door and hid inside, Melendez said. He held the couple hostage for an hour and a half before bringing them outside to have them drive him out of the area.
The couple told police they saw the man run back inside their house when he realized police were already in the area, Melendez said. No one was injured.
Police barricaded the roads in the area and evacuated all the homes in the cul-de-sac as officers searched for the man.
Around 9 a.m., police determined the man was not inside the house or in the neighborhood and the barricades were removed. However, they are continuing to search for the man, who is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He has dreadlocks and was wearing a dark shirt and dark jeans.

I try to be as on top of in both my safety and that of my neighbors.  But as this shows this can happen to any family.  My heart go's out to the family that was affected by this.

The Xmas Factor

You would think each year would get easier, however, this year is not only hard but very confusing.  I lost my dad earlier this year -- so this holiday season will be the first without him.  People say that as time go's on it will get easier, they must have forgot holidays when giving that advice.  Not sure if that is the reason but I am having a hard time getting into the spirit of Christmas, as it is the 16th of December I haven't bought one present, baked one treat -- I did however get my xmas tree up -- but have to give credit to that to the kids.

The GREAT news is that my daughter will be home from college tomorrow, which brings me great joy.  In addition, I have vowed to get my shopping done this coming weekend (even though I have no clue what anyone wants).  I feel like I need to get out of this funk, if no other reason as to create a great holiday for my children and be there for my mother, who I am sure is having a much harder time than myself.

I know this has nothing to do with politics/children however, it does has to do with family and helping me get through life.  Thanks for listening!

Update on Brittany Mae Smith Case -- Found Alive

Very happy to hear the news that they have found Brittany Mae Smith alive in SAN FRANCISCO!  Very few of these abductions turn out positive and from what I've heard a clerk at a retail store had the presence on mind to identify them though all the media coverage and call police.

After 8 Years Elizabeth Smart Gets Justice - GUILTY

I remember when I heard that they had found Elizabeth Smart ALIVE -- I read the transcripts of her testimony, I was amazed at how brave and accurate she relived her horror on the stand, at the same time I was horrified at the details of those scary nine months that she endured  -- I am not sure if it is her faith or her family but she is such a survivor....

“Today is a wonderful day,” Smart said outside the courthouse hours later, adding “I am so thrilled to be here, so thrilled of the verdict."
"I hope that not only is this an example that justice can be served in America, but that it is possible to move on after something terrible has happened," Smart said. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40604990/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/?GT1=43001

12-year-old Brittany Mae Smith

Another child missing - this makes me so sad -- her mother was murdered and she was last seen in a walmart surveillance with her abductor Jeffrey Easley - I hope she is found safe...
An Amber Alert has been issued for the state of Florida for 12-year-old Brittany Mae Smith of Salem, Va., according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's website.

Smith was last seen Friday, Dec. 3 at 8:33 p.m. in the area of the 1800 block of W. Main Street in Salem, Va., the website stated. She is 5 feet tall and 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities believe the child was abducted by suspect Jeffery Scott Easley, a white male, 5-foot-11, 265 pounds, brown hair, hazel eyes with tattoos on his upper arms and back.

They may be traveling in a 2005 silver Dodge Neon four-door sedan with a rear spoiler and Obama sticker on the rear bumper, Virginia tag number XKF-2365. They may possibly be headed to the Florida area.

According to several published reports, Smith's mother, 41-year-old Tina Smith, was found dead in her home Monday. Tina Smith's death has been ruled a homicide, but authorities have declined to say how she was killed.

Blogging Again

It has been years since I have blogged, my previous blog was Un-Politically Correct. I have felt it is time again for me to share my views, opinions, blog/news postings that I find important. I am very passionate about what is going on in our country and in simply "doing what is right". I also very concerned about our children and their safety, we live in dangerous times and unfortunately our children have been paying the price, whether it be abused, kidnapped, even murdered (and sometimes at the hands of the people that the trust the most to keep them safe).

So hopefully you get a sense of the topics that are important to me and the information that I believe is critical to get out here.
